Crowne Plaza Hilton Head Island Beach Resort: This oceanfront resort nestled in the heart of the Shipyard Plantation has invested $2 million to revamp the property's fitness areas, refurbish the guest room furniture and carpet the resort's ballroom.

The Westin Resort, Hilton Head Island: Unveiling its $5 million in renovations within the coming months, this 412-room resort will be the first in the continental U.S. to feature the Starwood Spa Collection's Heavenly Spa brand.
